Development History

The predecessor of Fuhai Tea Factory was Xinghuo Tea Factory, established in 1983. It was formed by the Menghai County Tea Science Research Institute and some management personnel and technical backbone selected by the county government. It is a collectively owned enterprise under the leadership of the Menghai County Township Enterprise Bureau. In 1986, Xinghuo Tea Factory was listed as a national level "Xinghuo" plan project and is a demonstration factory for the development of high-yield cultivation and integrated processing technology for Yunnan large leaf tea. In 1998, in response to market development, Xinghuo Tea Factory completed its restructuring and was renamed as Fuhai Tea Factory in Menghai County, becoming the first private tea refining and processing factory in Menghai County. In 2005, Fuhai Tea Factory built a new factory three kilometers east of Menghai County, and in the same year, its own 5000 acre Banzhang organic ecological tea garden was the first in the Pu'er tea industry to pass the organic tea product certification.
