茶厂的前身是勐库茂伦达生态茶叶初制所，成立于2012年。2013年，段茂伦辞去昆明茶厂的工作，回到勐库创业，开始开荒种植上千亩茶园，并在冰岛茶区承包数片树龄均达300年以上的优质古茶园，同时在勐库多个有名茶山上建有自营的高标准初制所，联合茶农成立“茶叶农民专业合作社”。2016年，正式成立双江自治县勐库镇冰岛印象茶厂。

Development History
The predecessor of the tea factory was Mengku Maolunda Ecological Tea Primary Processing Institute, established in 2012.
